Salamander-inc Terms and Conditions

PAYMENT:

Once prices are agreed by email, they are fixed and not negotiable after the work has been done.

All invoices should be settled within 14 days and payed in full unless a prior arrangement is made.

Cheques and Bacs payments should be made before 14 days have past.

After this 14 day period I reserve the right to charge a further 10% of the invoice total and this will continue every 30 days hence forth until the invoice is settled.

Refunds will NOT be given after I have spent the hours/days/weeks doing the work. Esspesially as I always ask for feedback during the design phase.

Please contact me early on if there is any issue, quite often it can be sorted within the original remit.

SEO/SMM:

I do not guarantee search engine results or placements, I never have and never will. I only consult on SEO and SMM strategies. I am not responsible for your ranking position.

Salamander-inc is not responsible for any third party content on the web. This includes any of the content on any of the websites or printed material belonging to my clients found on this website.

I do not write copy for websites, this is the responsibility of the website owners.

PRINT:

I advise on print, print finish, stock, inks etc… I do not print myself.

I will suggest printers based on MY personal relationships with them. I am not responsible for their business operations.

Always ask for a proof before your work goes to print. I am not responsible for final print colours, bleed, font definition, photo resolution, SPELLING etc…

Once the artwork has been signed off it is your RESPONSIBILITY.

WEBSITES:

Colours that appear on websites differ from monitor to monitor. This is a fact. Cornflower blue on my screen may look like sky blue on your screen and a weird green-blue on your friends screen. Please bear this in mind when you ask to subtly change the hue of your headings.

Font size, image resolution and screen sizes also differ. Building a website is choosing to please most of the viewers most of the time.

Some people using a ten year old computer and Internet Explorer 6  may complain that they cant use your site. Thats NOT my fault, they should update their hardware and software. It sounds harsh and thats because building websites for IE6 is more expensive. To have complete IE 6 support you MUST discuss this with me and your quote will be adjusted. This enables me to build value for money websites.

My websites are built with accessibility in mind, meaning that I do my best to advise you on website accessibility best practice. I glean this information from considerable experience, reading industry journals, blogs, white papers, press releases and going on courses.
